It's been a while..

Wow..it's been a while since I last posted. Actually it's over a month ago that I posted my last blog. I've been busy with school and I had to work a lot in my vacation. But now my normal life has begun again..

I want to discuss a serious matter right now. Two years ago I went on a vacation to one of the most beautiful countries in the World..Thailand!
Lately, Thailand isn't the beautiful country that I've known. I've been sad to hear that there is such a riot going on there right now. I understand the goverment is not happy with all the demonstrating people but I think they have to listen to their people. You don't want to lead a country where the people hate you and causing trouble. I think the king of Thailand, king Bhumibol, should put an end to this and prevent more deaths in the capital city Bangkok. That's what a real king should do! I know it's not that simple but they must try and fix this. This has gone to far and too many people already found death. It's just not good for the country, the tourism is put on hold because of the negative travelling advice in many countries.

The world should not remember Thailand as a country which has a lot of trouble and is a violent place. I know I don't want to. I remember Thailand as a country which is beautiful, great food, a lot of temples and peaceful people who honor Buddha, where you can have a great life!
The Thailand I fell in love with..

Legends of the Fall

Last week I saw 'Legends of the Fall'. I'd seen the film before and I love the story and the actors are really great!

The film is set in the Rocky Mountains of Montana in the early 1900s. Legends of the Fall is a tale of love, betrayal, and brotherhood. After being discharged, Colonel Ludlow decides to raise his three sons in the wilds of Montana, where they can grow up away from the government and society he has learned to dispise. The three brothers mature and seem to have an unbreakable bond, until Susanna enters their lives. When Samuel, the youngest of the three, returns from college he brings with him his beautiful fiance, Susanna. The eldest son, Alfred, soon finds himself in love with his brother's fiance, and things get worse when he discovers a growing passion between Susanna and Tristan. Colonel Ludlow's favorite son, Tristan is willful and as wild as the mountains. As the brothers set out to fight a war in Europe, suspicion and jelousy threatens to tear apart their once indestructable bond.

Starring Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormand, Henry Thomas and Karina Lombard.

Even though I didn't like the long hair on Brad Pitt, he is still gorgeous and it's a perfect role for him. The film makes me sad because there is so much pain. But the film is also beautiful because it shows the difficulties in a family bond and how important family is. There is balance between pain and love, it shows what real life could be..only the film is set a century ago. Even though this film is from 1994 it's still a must see!

Totally relaxed

Today I had a totally relaxing day! I went with my mom to Scandic Sanadome, a beauty and health spa. They have different herbal whirlpools with different aroma's like lavender and pine-tree. Furthermore they have a steamroom, sauna's, footbaths, an in- and outside swimmingpool, hot baths and a salt water bath. So I could relax all day. My favourite is the salt water bath because it's good for you skin and it's like the Dead Sea, which means you can actually float on the water. So funny! :)

If you never had a relaxing day for yourself, I can recommand it to you! It's good for your skin, beauty and health.
Besides..every woman deserves a day all to herself!

I think you like my new hair..

Today I had a really relaxing day. The sun was shining..finally after a harsh winter. I went to lunch with a friend. I had a great toast with salmon and my friend had a toast with goat cheese and honey.

I love to do some simple things with my friends. Just go out to lunch, go to the park or just lying on the grass in the sun. Those things make life worth while.
But of course sometimes you have to do something crazy..and today I did. After the delicious lunch me and my friend went for a total hair make-over!
Well I have to say I needed the new hairdo. It's much more my own hair color right now and I've gotten some bangs..yay! I think you like my new hair..at least I do. Pictures will follow soon.

Also I want to introduce you all to an artist I bumped on the internet. Her name is Laura Jansen and she's great! She is a singer-songwriter, who is established in Los Angeles but her roots are Dutch (it explains her weird lastname). Maybe you know her from covering the song 'Use Somebody' from Kings of Leon. I love this song 'Single Girls' and I really can identify with this song. It's a song for all the newly single girls out there! So check it out!
